Molecular Medicine

Molecular medicine is one of the most advanced and specialized fields of medicine. It focuses on understanding the fundamental biological and molecular mechanisms that explain normal body functions as well as the underlying mechanisms of diseases. Admission Requirements

This section explains the Requirements for Graduate Programs at AGU.

​General Requirements

  • The applicant must be a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries and nominated by the relevant Ministry of Education or Ministry of Higher Education in their respective countries.
  • An Arab national residing in one of the GCC Countries may apply directly.
  • The applicant must submit a completed application form and all supporting documents.
  • The applicant must pass a personal interview and any exams or requirements the program.​
  • The applicant must pay all tuition fees if admitted on self-pay seat prior of commencing study.
  • The applicant must be fit.

 

​​Specific Requirements

The Diploma of Graduate Studies Programs:
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree with minimum grade of Good (2.00 out of 4.00 scale) from a recognized University.
    Pass the personal interview.

The Master of Science degree Programs:
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science degree with minimum GPA Very Good  (3 out of 4.00 scale) from a recognized University.
  • Pass the personal interview.

The Doctor of Philosophy degree Programs:
  • The applicant must hold a Master of Science degree with minimum GPA Very Good (3 out of 4.00 scale) from a recognized University.
  • English Language Competency in IELTS (5.0) or TOEFL (450) exams.
  • Pass the personal interview.
  • Submit a preliminary Research Proposal.
     

​​Documents Required​​

  • Letter of nomination from the relevant Ministry of Education or Ministry of Higher Education in their respective Country for GCC citizen.
  • Original copy of the Official Transcript.
  • Original copy of graduation certificate.
  • Submit all qualifications obtained at the university level certified by the Ministry of Education in your country.
  • Valid Passport copy.
  • National ID copy.
  • (4) Recent Photos passport size.
  • Two letters of References.
  • Copy of CV.

Admission Timeline

The Timeline for the Admission of Graduate Studies is as follows

Application Start

AGU online application open in February for applicants from citizens of GCC courntries & Arab nationals residing in the GCC

Interviews

Applicants who met the Admission requirements, are interviewed on the set date as mentioned in the academic calendar

Decisions

Interviewed Candidates will hear whether they are offered a place: Early birds will know in June, the rest in September

Orientation Day

Orientation Day held in September as mentioned in the Academic Calendar

Registration & Classes

Accepted students need to complete registration, pay tuition fees and receive their student ID, class schedule & books. Classes start as mentioned in the Academic Calendar

Tuition Fees

 

  • In addition : Laboratory Bench Fees for students of technical and medical studies charged one time throughout the study period (Masters 1500 B.D & Ph.D. 2000 B.D.)
  • Laboratory fees of (BD 500 ) for the Autism Disorder ” and Environmental Sciences and Natural Resources ” programs, for the second semester only.
